Trust & Safety
Your safety is our foundation
Real estate fraud is a serious problem across Africa. We built Dwello Africa with safety-first principles to give buyers and sellers the confidence to transact.
How we protect you
Six layers of protection built into every transaction on Dwello Africa.
Identity Verification (KYC)
Every seller, landlord, and agent on Dwello Africa must complete identity verification before listing a property. We review government-issued IDs and selfies to confirm that users are who they claim to be.
Ownership Document Review
Our admin team reviews title deeds, land certificates, lease agreements, and utility bills before awarding the Dwello Verified badge. Only properties with confirmed ownership documentation earn the badge.
Secure Communications
All messages between buyers and sellers are kept within our platform. We never share contact details publicly. This keeps your personal information private and all conversations on record.
Fraud Reporting
Any user can flag a suspicious listing directly from the property page or our Report Fraud page. Our team investigates every report within 48 hours and takes immediate action on confirmed cases.
Diaspora Protection
We built Dwello Africa specifically with the diaspora in mind. Virtual tours, document sharing, and our verification system let you transact safely from anywhere in the world without needing to travel.
Dispute Resolution
If you encounter a problem with a transaction, our support team is available to help mediate and resolve disputes. We keep records of all platform activity to support resolutions.
